BOARD OF PUBLIC SAFETY
March 3, 2014
A SPECIAL & TELEPHONIC MEETING of the Board of Public Safety was held in the Mayor's Office on Monday, March 3, 2014
Those in attendance included Mayor Elinor Carbone, Corporation Counsel Raymond Rigat, Commissioner Douglas Benedetto and Commissioner Glenn McLeod. Police Chief Michael Maniago was also present. Commissioners Angelo LaMonica, Darlene Battle, and Robert Conforti participated via telephone. Commissioner Richard Zaharek was absent.
Mayor Carbone called the meeting to order at 11:02 a.m.
EXECUTIVE SESSION – Police Personnel
On a motion by Commissioner McLeod, seconded by Commissioner Battle, the Board voted unanimously to enter Executive Session under Police Personnel at 11:02 a.m., inviting Chief Maniago.
OPEN SESSION
On a motion by Commissioner Benedetto, seconded by Commissioner McLeod, the Board voted unanimously to enter Open Session at 11:05 a.m.
HIRE PROBATIONARY POLICE OFFICERS
On a motion by Commissioner Conforti, seconded by Commissioner Battle, the Board voted unanimously to hire James Foley as a probationary Police Officer whose hire date will be at the discretion of the Chief of Police.
ADJOURNMENT
On a motion by Commissioner Benedetto, seconded by Commissioner Conforti, the Board voted unanimously to
adjourn at 11:06 a.m.
